Search Tips

You can search the A K Peters online catalog by either using Quick Search or Advanced Search. Quick Search returns items where the search terms match one or more fields—title, author, or ISBN. Advanced Search lets you specify the search for title, author, and ISBN fields individually.

Tips

• Searches are case insensitive i.e. capital letters are ignored. MATH, math, and mAtH will all return the same results.
• You can search for parts of a word. Sym will match symbol and asymptotic.
• When searching for multiple words, searches will match the exact phrase so there's no need to use quotes to group terms. The B will match The Banach-Tarski Theorem and The Brains.
• Placing a space before and/or after a word will isolate the word. For example, “the ” will match the but not theory.
• You can use the underscore symbol ( _ ) as a substitute for a single letter. This is handy when searching for foreign words and names that have characters that are not easily typed. For example, you can search for Erd_s instead of Erdős.
• The following characters are NOT allowed: < , > , " , ' , % , ; , ) , ( , & , and +. They will be ignored.
